Humans of Bronfman Center — Adela Cojab
Judaism has always been an integral part of my education — but my Freshman year, I was resolved to place it on the back burner. About a month into the semester, I came across a group of students handing out Jewish flags at Washington Square Park, and naturally, I took one. It wasn’t until we were standing in a circle in chilly autumn weather singing Hatikvah that I realized I didn’t need to look for a cause to fight for — I already had my own.
If I could sum up my four years in college in two words, they would undoubtedly be “Realize Israel.”
Realize found its home in the Bronfman Center, from seemingly never-ending board meetings, to speaker events, to hectic, last-minute strategy planning sessions. As a student leader, it was extremely comforting to know that at any point, Bronfman staff was happy to provide support and guidance. In college, every experience you have is a learning opportunity, and the Bronfman Center was a perfect environment for growth and mentorship.
