Aaron and Michelle met on April 23, 2021. It was laughs at first sight. Then Hillel Springboard Fellow, Mel Friedel, introduced the two during a Zoom JLF class and upon their return to campus in August, their first in-person semester at NYU, they quickly became best friends and spent much of their time at the Bronfman Center. A+M’s involvement in Hillel quickly strengthened and they got involved in all things Jewish life on campus — meaning lots of coffee chats at Madman Espresso, hosting the Aaron Baron Shabbat, coining the delicious and now annual Guac-Off event, and last but not least, becoming co-presidents of Beit Sagol (really another excuse to spend more time at the Bronfman Center). A+M are incredibly thankful for both Mel and the Bronfman Center for uniting the two and paving the way for their life-long friendship.
