Global Network of Women Peacebuilders Consulting Practicum Project

M.S. in Global Affairs students Dennis Aveta, Alonna Despain, Jen Rauch, Cynthia Saxena, Nikki Stoumen, and Sara Zabihi, conducted research via in-depth interviews with young peace activists in six countries (Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Jordan, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Tunisia), on how young people engage with national peace planning efforts. They focused in particular on young women’s experiences of participating in these efforts. Their report Perspectives on Operationalizing Peace and Security at a National Level was produced for their consulting practicum for the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP). The practicum was supervised by Clinical Professor Anne Marie Goetz.
