BAD GOOD IDEA //

Picture this. A beautiful rustic hut surrounded by nature. 🌲🌳Gorgeous scenery. A family, working productively knocking over business and school tasks.

We’re feeling like we’re winning at life by getting the best of both worlds, working from anywhere, enjoying the great outdoors.

Except that’s not quite how it turned out. 😂

The reality….

Bad wifi, hot-spotting on one 4G connection that is hampered by strong winds blowing and it being overcast. We get 3G reception at best 🙄

A cramped hut that is not particularly conducive to 4 people getting work done.

Tempers fraying. Meltdowns beckoning…

My visions for spontaneously taking off, merging business, school and pleasure were just too ambitious on this occasion.

I recognise now that we’ve been compromising already during 60+ days of social distancing, learning and working from home. There are limits to our flexibility 😝!

Whilst it didn’t turn out as I imagined, it was a lovely idea; — we have to work and homeschool — let’s make the most of it by going somewhere and enjoying a change of scenery.

You gotta laugh!

We dropped everything and went for a nice long walk 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Has your idealised version of #remoteworking been turned on its head? Do share!
