Oh how we LOVE things that look good and make us feel something.

Often objects that look good are cleverly designed, blending both form and function.

Forms that convey stories that allow us to feel, react and engage whilst also meeting functional demands are part of elevating public spaces.

Adding a layer of intrigue through art is the jewel in the crown 👑

Take this funky basketball court, sandwiched between a pair of apartment buildings in Paris, that showcases how artistic intervention can raise the bar of a normally bland functional public space.

Projects that elevate normally utilitarian areas through form, function and art and make them integral to communities are the way forward.

The O initiative offers a clever blend of these ideas, reimagining water refilling points into contemporary art pieces that encourage people to reconsider refilling their bottle.

Good design aims to contribute to a better future.

What examples of good design, that combine form, function and art, have you seen in your travels?
