MonsterCube, which operates the №1 Korean restaurant app Syrup Table that downloaded 18 million times, is one step closer through MOU to commercialization that using cryptocurrency when viewing webtoons with Joycomics.

Monsterscube’s “SODA Blockchain Service” converts its existing Syruptable app into a DAap (distributed application using blockchain technology) and prepares to implement a service that can only be compensated by using a syruptable, such as a restaurant recommendation, a review, or a service, and it has different regional reward systems like each AR game “Poke GO” that captures characters in a specific area.

Recently, the company opened a shopping mall ‘bzeroshop (bzeroshop.com)’ dedicated to cryptocurrency to realize the commercialization of cryptocurrency. Bzeroshop is a shopping mall dedicated to cryptocurrency that can be paid with only bitcoin and ethereum, and can purchase products through SODA tokens on Syrup Table. The company plans to start services with approximately 1,000 products at present and build products at the level of large shopping malls, including open markets and general shopping malls, within the first half of this year.

Bzeroshop is characterized by its low price of registered products, which is comparable to the lowest online prices, including discounting the commission offered to existing online shopping malls by up to 90 percent, as well as convenient payments of cryptocurrency. It is also considered safe in terms of security, such as hacking, as it is possible to purchase products through direct transmission of cryptocurrency wallets to shopping mall wallets without going through the exchange.

In addition to the above shopping malls, the company has signed MOU agreements with Soluocean, a software operator in more than 6,000 laundry facilities nationwide, to build a commercialized infrastructure for cryptocurrency, and with the “SODA Blockchain Project,” Yeongjong-do new town is also expanding its on and offline infrastructure for virtual currency in a variety of areas, including new towns and webtoons. It will secure more than 20,000 franchises during the first half of 2019.

“The Soda (SODA) blockchain service, together with a daily life mining economy, will quickly establish cryptocurrency infrastructure that is available anytime in real-life to complete the token economy, showing the reality of commercializing cryptocurrency in Korea, so Syrup Table will become the leader in the cryptocurrency market,” said Yoo Jae-beom, CEO of Monster Cube.

Meanwhile, SyrupTable signed actor Lee Pil-mo, who is currently appearing on the controversial TV show “Taste of Love,” as a model and change the name of its app to Soda Table in January.
