The 5th edition of the Bangalore podcast meet-up hosted by O2Pod Collective, a Bangalore based podcast collective working to help spread awareness about podcasts and podcasting as well as help aspiring podcasters get started. The meetup up has been the biggest in Bangalore so far (with over 65 people, representing 25 podcasts in 4 languages — English, Kannada, Hindi and Marathi). We said this last time, and we’re saying it again. It was the biggest Podcast event in India. It was even bigger than the 4th Edition of the Bangalore Podcast Meet-Up. Can you believe that!?

O2Pod Collective is an initiative by podcasters and friends Saif Omar and Faiza Khan from the Musafir Stories Podcast, Shankar and Vishnu Padmanabhan from the Writer and Geek Show and Naga Subramanya B B from The Passion People Podcast.

We are happy to see the progress in building the community almost a year ago and with this meet-up, we’ve come a full circle (almost!) as we had close to 65 creators, listeners, enthusiasts, aspiring podcasters join us for the event. In addition to this, we also had representation from the extended ecosystem including podcast apps (Hubhopper), Adori Labs which is an Audio Analytics and Engagement Platform and hosting and distribution provider Headfone. Headfone is a social audio platform where –

  1. You can listen to stories, talk shows, podcasts, radio channels and more.
  2. You can record your voice and express yourself.
  3. You can distribute your podcast using RSS feed.
  4. You can host your own talk show.

Podcast can be distributed through Headfone website — https://www.headfone.co.in/

To know more about Headfone, you can directly reach out to Pratham, Co-Founder/CEO of Headfone at 9461385210.

We continue to do our bit to equip creators to make the best decisions around podcasts. As always, we were stocked to see the buzz around podcasting grow!

Pod-attendence!

This is a truncated version of the notes since the rest of it is covered as part of our audio summary!

If you want to know more about podcasts, learn about how to start your own for your company or just your own little ramble, we’re here to help. We podcasters need to stick together and this is our way of helping grow this medium. Reach out to us at @O2Podcollective on Twitter or email us at o2podcollective@gmail.com
