O3 Desktop: Import O3 mobile wallet

If you would like to to start using the O3 Desktop wallet, and are already using our mobile wallet, this guide will walk you though the process of importing your account from your mobile wallet!

O3 Desktop: Setup Guide

Install the app

If you haven’t already downloaded the app, you can get it from any of the following:

Apple app store

Windows app store

Direct download (OSX, Windows, Linux)

Locate O3 Mobile wallet credentials

• Open your O3 Mobile app
• Login to your account
• Navigate to the settings screen on the bottom right

Tap “…” on the bottom right

• Open your credentials with “My Private Key”

Tap “My Private Key”

• You will use the credentials on this screen to authenticate with the O3 Desktop app

This is a newly created test account. Please be careful when sharing your private key.

Add wallet from login screen

• Open the O3 app
• If you are already on the dashboard or setting screen please scroll down to the next section in this article.
• Select “Add wallet”

• Fill out a name for your wallet
• Enter the private key from the mobile app, or hit the “SCAN” button to use your webcam to scan the QR code on the mobile app containing your credentials

• Upon clicking “SCAN” a preview of your webcam will appear
• Hold up the QR code on your mobile app to your camera to be scanned by the app

• Once populating your credentials, click “Create”

• Enter in a passphrase to encrypt your credentials to be securely stored by the desktop app

Enter & confirm passphrase, then click “Submit”

• You will then be taken to the dashboard screen for your wallet.

• Congrats! Your mobile wallet has successfully been added to your desktop wallet!

Add wallet from dashboard or settings screens

• If on the dashboard screen, navigate to the settings screen by clicking on the gear icon in the menu bar on the left-hand side

• On the settings screen click “Add wallet”

• Fill out a name for your wallet
• Enter the private key from the mobile app, or hit the “SCAN” button to use your webcam to scan the QR code on the mobile app containing your credentials

• Upon clicking “SCAN” a preview of your webcam will appear
• Hold up the QR code on your mobile app to your camera to be scanned by the app

• Once populating your credentials, click “Create”

• Then enter in a passphrase to encrypt your credentials to be securely stored by the desktop app

• You will then be taken to the dashboard screen for your wallet.

• Congrats! Your mobile wallet has successfully been added to your desktop wallet!
