O3 Desktop v1 is live!
We’re happy to announce the release of version 1.0.0 of the O3 Desktop app, meaning we are moving out of beta. The v1 launch comes with a lot of exciting stuff, bringing the desktop on par with our mobile applications. Make sure you update quickly to check out all the new features!
News Feed
We have received a lot of positive feedback on the newsfeed for mobile. Everyone likes to stay up to date with the latest news from neonewstoday.com on NEO and Ontology, and so do we! Through the news feed you will also see featured news from O3 about airdrops and other new and interesting tokens or projects.
Marketplace
This is where all the action takes place! The Marketplace will play a more and more important role in the O3 ecosystem as we add more functions to it. You can use it to find out everything you want about all the existing NEO and Ontology based tokens.
The Marketplace will also be the place to access the O3 dApp platform. Like on mobile, the first available dApp will be Switcheo. On v1 you can already securely login from your O3 wallet and trade on Switcheo without having to put in your private key. Coming up next will be NEL’s NNS (NeoNameService) dApp, and hopefully more soon! We invite any dApp developer that is interested to integrate on O3, if you are interested please check out this post.
Dark Mode, resizable screen and more settings
Of course we could not get away with calling this a v1 release without giving you the beloved Dark Mode..! Once you go black, you’ll never go back… 😎
We also received a lot of requests to make the app window resizable, so now you can resize it as you like and even use O3 in full screen! And last but not least we made a few updates to the settings menu. There is now an address book, we made it easier to add or create a wallet with ledger and you can now import wallets from Ontology’s OWallet into O3 using a .dat file.
What’s next?
Remember, this is only version 1.0.0 😲 We have a lot of other stuff in mind for both mobile and desktop and are already working on a lot of cool new functions like a native trading interface. We want to keep on enhancing the O3 platform, and with that we hope we can bring a bigger and more happy user base to both the NEO and Ontology ecosystems. We will bring the Smart Economy right to you, so stay tuned!
