We understand there has been some controversy regarding the Binance voting of the month and the involvement of the airdrop we are doing with NKN. O3 Labs would hereby like to state that the O3 Wallet airdrop for NKN tokens has absolutely nothing to do at all with the Binance Community Coin of the Month vote. The facts are as stated below.

O3 Labs and NKN have been in discussion since May 2018, and have agreed on a strategic collaboration with multiple phases:

  1. Add NKN token in O3 wallet: planned and completed on May 25th, 2018
  2. O3 wallet airdrop for NKN tokens: planned and executed on July 24th, 2018
  3. Potential cooperation to share NKN community and development updates within the O3 app: planned for August, 2018
  4. Potential future application level integration: no date planned

Regarding the phase 2 airdrop, we would like to state some important facts. First and foremost, the airdrop is ONLY for existing O3 users, and specifically for those that had installed and have been using the O3 wallet before July 24th, 2018. Besides that the user needs to have an existing balance of more than 1 NEO or 1 NKN. So any new users that created their wallet on or after 24th of July are not eligible to register for the airdrop. As explained the airdrop is something that has been discussed in advance, and is in no way related to the voting on Binance as we were not even aware that NKN would be participating in it. We believe that with the above registration rules for the airdrop and the way it has been set up, users are in no way incentivised to vote nor is there any link between this airdrop and the voting. It’s unfortunate to see that some people either are misinformed about our airdrop or intentionally trying to misuse the situation for their own gain.

O3 Labs is open to share more details about the airdrop and if there are any questions we are willing to answer them. Please feel free to contact us at support@o3.network or join the discussion on community.o3.network!
