O3 unveils blockchain payment processing, accept GAS payments anywhere
We’re excited to announce the V2 implementation of the O3 browser which now includes payment integration with the NEO blockchain.
What’s the problem?
NEO gas has been meant to be the native currency of the NEO smart economy, however there has been no way to easily accept GAS payments. This makes it hard for users to spend their hard earned GAS on any goods or services.
What’s the solution?
Ideally a store should be able to request payments directly from the user if they have a NEO wallet connected
This enables seamless blockchain based payments for any service, and you can see it live in the O3 store today. So get your limited edition O3 Cap Today!
What this means for the future
Now any web application can easily integrate with O3 to accept GAS payments. We’ll be open sourcing our API in the coming weeks so anyone that wants to integrate can begin testing.
However it doesn’t stop with payments. With our new browser we are laying the foundation for allowing any NEO contract to be accessible to the average user. This means that O3 can function as a dapp store and browser, our API’s will be open and run on an open protocol as described here.
