Baseball fans can join the Oakland A’s in giving back to Oakland and East Bay communities as part of the A’s Volunteer Team. The program strives to strengthen the community through meaningful and impactful service opportunities.

Each month, a variety of volunteer opportunities will be listed at athletics.com/volunteer. Fans will earn rewards based on the number of hours they spend volunteering with the A’s. Examples of reward milestones include:

1 hour: Volunteer sticker
10 hours: Exclusive Oaklandish volunteer T-shirt
15 hours: Two Plaza Level tickets to an A’s home game (blackout dates apply)
25 hours: Pregame field visit for two on Volunteer Appreciation Day
50 hours: Baseball autographed by a member of the A’s 50th Anniversary Team

“We are excited to work alongside our fans to positively impact our community. The A’s Volunteer Team also will bring awareness to nonprofits and causes that are doing incredible work in the neighborhoods where we live, work, and play,” said Catherine Aker, vice president of Communications and Community for the A’s.

Fans can now sign up for the first three volunteer opportunities, including serving meals at St. Vincent de Paul Alameda County on May 16, packing meals for Meals on Wheels serving Oakland on May 29, and sorting food at the Alameda County Community Food Bank on June 1. Opportunities will be updated on a regular basis.
