Twenty years after its debut on the world wide web, Oaklandnet.com is sunsetting on April 23rd. Before we say goodbye, we wanted to share its place in our community the last two decades. If you’ve been in Oakland long enough, you might remember the late ’90s pastel charm and iconic graphic of our Downtown that donned the homepage. In the early 2000’s, we had purple pride until our most recent incarnation, with your favorite floating portraits of City leadership in the upper-left hand corner.

Let us know what you think on Twitter and Facebook, with hashtag #OAKDOTGOV

Read more about our new website in the next article, “Hello, Oaklandca.gov.” HINT: In case a search engine fails you, the new domain name is www.oaklandca.gov.
