We’re about two things: Loving God, and Loving People

12 Hour Prayer

There has been a growing hunger for the presence of God in recent months — not just within Oasis, but within the wider church and beyond into society.

Recent weeks have seen gatherings of incredible encounter with God — from 2000 young people on a Friday night in Hackney to our own deepening times of worship on Sunday Evenings at Oasis. God is doing something new and exciting in calling His church to pray with fresh faith and fresh vision, and in bringing people in with a hunger for prayer who have never before stepped foot inside a church.

Inspired by the invitation to press in, a group from Oasis and King’s Church have felt led to gather together to pray for 12 hours on Monday 26th May (Bank Holiday Monday). The goal is simply to provide a space for churches to come together to worship, pray, lift up praise, hear from God, and be encouraged to step out to share Jesus with others.

Hosted at the Oasis building on South Street from 9am-9pm, there will be space to connect with others in prayer and worship, space to engage through arts and craft, and space to break out individually. A simple shared lunch of bread and soup will also be provided for those attending.

All are welcome to come and gather — whether you are able to make the entire day, or only able to drop in for part of it — with a sense of expectancy and excitement that God will move powerfully!
