Easter is a unique moment to allow the wonder of all that Jesus has done through His life, death and resurrection to meet us where we are and change everything for us - whether for the first time or the thousandth.

This year in particular, the moments that Jesus endures on the way to the cross - especially His experience of loneliness, isolation, suffering and fear - land with us in a deeply striking way given the challenges of the past 12 months. At the same time, the celebration of Resurrection Sunday speaks so clearly to our need for hope in this season; of light breaking out in the midst of the darkness, of new creation coming in the midst of the brokenness of the old, of a future full of joy, freedom and life.

We’ll have a number of different meetings over this Easter Week to help us engage with God, and draw us closer to Him; from the poignancy of the Last Supper, to the grief of the Garden, to the pain of the Cross, to the wonder of the Empty Tomb. Here’s an introduction to each of those:

A creative and reflective meeting exploring Jesus’s experiences at the Last Supper and in the Garden of Gethsemane, as He wrestles with what is to come. There will be a number of contributions from different members of the community, and we’ll centre the meeting around taking communion together. If you are able, please come prepared with bread and juice/wine.

This is an online meeting via Zoom, starting at 8pm and lasting for around 45 minutes, and you can join by clicking here. Alternatively, you can open the Zoom App and enter the following Meeting ID: 84437271860. For a guide on how to use Zoom, including for anyone wanting to join by calling in on a phone, click here.

A short reflection on Good Friday, as we take a moment to pause and consider the cross through scripture and song, word and worship. It’ll be hosted on our Oasis Online Platform at 10am, lasting for around 15 minutes - just click here to join and the meeting should play in your web browser. Afterwards, it’ll be available to watch at any point through Oasis On Demand by clicking here.

A moment to celebrate that Jesus is alive! The morning gets underway at 10:15am with 15 minutes of fun and community, before we kick off with worship at 10:30am. It lasts for about an hour and there’ll be space to enjoy meeting with God, hearing from the Bible, and getting to the heart of the Easter message. This will also be hosted on our Oasis Online Platform, so just click here to join, or here to watch On Demand later. After the service we’ll have our regular Sunday Catchup via Zoom; a chance to meet some different people from Oasis and wish them a happy Easter - find out more about that here.

We hope you can join us as we celebrate Easter together this year!
