Impact Interview

History, Lockdown, a New EP, and the Future!

Established in 2008, Impact Birmingham exists to support Birmingham’s vibrant music scene through providing recording opportunities for local artists and putting on high quality live music events. In the interview below, Rich catches up with Ben Kyte, part of the team behind the Impact project, to find out how it all started, what they’ve been up to over lockdown, and what the future has in store.

The latest Impact EP, released in November 2020, features tracks from Kate Wilkins, Philippa Zawe, Dominic Hyde & Glast Dance, and Millicent Chapanda. It’s a brilliant example of the breath of Birmingham’s music scene, and you can download a copy on the Impact Bandcamp page by clicking here.
