The Bridge Internship Programme

Launching in the New Year!

There are about 300,000 people in the UK today who openly admit they struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. So in a church of 200 people that’s the equivalent of 1 person whose home, finances and relationships are slipping away because of their dependence on drugs or alcohol. As churches we need to be able to respond effectively to the problem of addiction.

At Oasis we’ve been running a project to support men and women with drug and alcohol addictions for the past 18 years. Our heart is to train and equip local churches to be able to help those in their community who are battling addiction issues. We want to do this by providing an opportunity for those who feel called to work with drug and alcohol users to gain experience.

We’re going to be running a 6-month and 12-month internship programme in the new year. Check out the video below for more details, and please do share it with anyone you think might be interested — particularly those who are passionate about working with the vulnerable and disadvantaged.

Thanks for sharing in God’s heart to ‘set the oppressed free and break every yoke’. Let’s keep working together to make a Kingdom difference to our communities.
