Tell us a little bit about yourself (where you’re from, what you’ve previously worked on, etc.)

My name is Kevin Do, and I come from Vietnam. I’m currently working as a full stack developer, mainly in blockchain.

When and why did you first get excited about blockchain technology?

Before joining the blockchain field, I worked on game and web development for 5 years. In 2017, realizing the potential of Bitcoin and blockchain, I switched to research and develop in this field.

Tell us about your project (what is it, how does it work?)

For my project I built a private document system, where documents will be stored safely on blockchain, and are protected with policies determined by the owner only.

What key real-world problem does your project aim to address?

Nowadays almost all our using services are provided by big tech companies, our data and documents might be leaked or used without our agreement. That is the problem of centralization. Using decentralized systems like the Oasis Network can help us take control of our data back.

What made you interested in building on the Oasis network?

3 things:

  1. Oasis Network is a decentralized blockchain platform
  2. Oasis Network provides privacy
  3. Oasis Network provides post action with data, which in future developers can create many creative works with data.

Why are privacy and confidentiality important components of your project, if at all?

My documents should be controlled and shared only by me, and no one else.

How does your project use the Parcel SDK to create a responsible data economy, if at all?

In this project, users’ documents can be uploaded and control sharing permission through Parcel SDK. In future, users also can update, delete and do many features with their documents.

What’s one of your favorite Oasis network features that you’ve discovered while working on your project?

It is easy to integrate with clean code and detail documentations.

How can others try out your app or learn more about what you’re working on?
