Background

In the past year, we’ve worked with developers to better understand outstanding use cases for the Oasis Network — the problems they want to solve, what tools they need to do it, and how we can help them execute on their goals.

In tandem with developer discussions and support, many in the Oasis ecosystem have built a number of tools to make it easier for developers to build on the platform. That includes the Oasis SDK, the Oasis CLI, and slack to 24/7 support.

The goal of the DevAccelerator program is to take this work for developers one step further — formalizing ways that Oasis can support, engage, and amplify the work of many of the small teams interested in building on our platform.

What is the DevAccelerator Program?

The Oasis DevAccelerator is a program providing innovative developers and small teams focused on building privacy-first applications on the Oasis platform with a number of tools and support including: early access, technical guidance, investor insights, partnership introductions, and customer acquisition / marketing help

Who is this program for?

If you are an individual developer or part of a 2–3 person team looking to solve a problem in the following areas, then building on the Oasis Network will give you an unfair advantage over other solutions:

• Applications that need data privacy — especially applications where data privacy is a must-have, not just a nice-to-have.
• Applications that aim to break down data silos.
• Applications that leverage confidential compute.
• Applications that benefit from privacy-preserving computation.
• Interest in using Rust — while the Oasis Platform is EVM-compatible, the full potential of the platform can only be achieved if you know the Rust programming language. So, if you know Rust, this program is definitely for you.

What are the key benefits of the Oasis DevAccelerator Program?

• Early Access: Gain early access to Oasis technology, sneak peaks of new features on our roadmap and an opportunity to provide direct early feedback.
• Technical Guidance: Work directly with Oasis Labs engineers during office hours and with on-demand support.
• Investor Insights: Get strategic advice and feedback from top venture capital investors and advisors in small working group sessions and private events. And, if what you’re building has potential, then making direct, warm introductions to investors is something we’re happy to do. But of course there’s no promise of investment. We make the intro, then you need to take it from there.
• Partner Networking: As you scale your solution and business, we are happy to introduce you to relevant partners that can help in your journey. Whether they be accounting, legal, marketing, or operations — we can introduce you to our network of trusted partners that can help.
• Customer Acquisition Support: We understand that the number one problem all new ventures face is getting to product-market fit. That usually means getting customers. We will work together with you to craft a plan that makes sense, with the goal of getting more users to your application.
