The sound of your alarm. You wake up every morning at 4 am, workout, take a shower, eat healthy food and hurry to your office.

On the way to work, you check out the latest podcasts. What’s there? Maybe you’ll find out something new among the repetitions.

You grab a cup of hot steamy black coffee and check your emails. There’s so much to do, as usual. But you’re used to this rhythm of life.

Always in action, trying to manage everything on time, complete your tasks faster, as if there’s something chasing you. Maybe the fierce competition?

The speed is your drug.

You love taking risks.

You’re used to this rat race. You’re one of them. One of those who are obsessed with success.

Every day is a thrilling challenge. Every problem is waiting for your solution. The whole world is a big puzzle, are you going to solve it? Do you want to reach that blissful triumph?

You read 1 book a week. Consume all the necessary and unnecessary information, all the “How to”s and “Best practices” from successful people. Do you even remember anything from it?

Your goal is to take everything from life. But, after work, of course. When is your vacation?

This is the car of your dreams. You look at its picture all the time, using it as a motivation and hoping to have it one day. Then what? The house of your dreams, you would say.

And, what’s next?

Time passes by and leaves only memories. What are your brightest memories? I’m not asking about those pictures in your smartphone. You can delete them whenever you want. It’s all about the feelings and emotions that you had.

Do you remember how it feels to be free and enjoy every moment?

Scrolling the feeds of your social accounts. You like what you see there. A lot of successful and happy people. You’ll be one of them soon, just work as hard as you can.

The life of your dreams — you’re so close to it, like many thousands of people with the same ambitions. You only need an opportunity to shine. Maybe you’ll get lucky this time?

Maybe not.

Maybe you’re not meant for that life, no matter how hard you try.

You’re motivated, you’re positive, you’re so young and full of energy. But, how long will it last?

When will you give up on your dreams?

Perhaps when you realize that every new day is like all the previous ones, when you’re bored and so tired of that race. One day you’ll look back at your life. Any regrets?

Stop for a minute and look around. What do you see?

This is your real life that you ignore by spending all your time at getting an imaginary one.

Close your eyes and smell the fresh air, hear the sounds of the city and feel the cold winter’s breeze. There’s so much more to achieve if you live in present, if you accept your present and build your future.

If you love your real life, not the illusion.

You come home in the evening — exhausted but feeling fulfilled. Tomorrow you’ll be one step closer to your dream.

The sound of your alarm.

Let the race begin!
