It’s that lovey-dovey time of the year, love hearts abound, and everything is pink and fluffy. I am not a fan of pink and fluffy, so I am here to dilute the pink with my own blue Valentine.

A poem to my beloved blanket:

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Sugar is sweet,

And so are you.

Roses are red,

and you are blue,

my fiancé may be cuddly,

but so are you.

I am alone,

with no-one but you,

cuddled up in my blanket,

a soft baby blue.

Roses are pink,

you are still blue,

and oh so so cosy,

we shall cuddle up, just we two.

Here’s to a Valentines filled with cuddles and cosiness, whether that be in the company of a person, or the cosy familiarity of a beloved blanket.
