The Bizarre Murder of Agneta Westlund

In September of 2008, Agenta Westlund’s night started out like any other. The 68 year old woman set out to take the family dog on a walk in a local forest in Sweden, but unfortunately she never made it back to her house. Her 68 year old husband Ingemar Westlund found her body by a lake near the village of Loftahammar.

He called the police, but was immediately arrested as a prime suspect due to the isolated area in which she was found. The police believed there was no one else who could have murdered Agneta. Ingemar spent 10 days in jail before being released but it wasn’t until 6 months later when the police found the real culprit that Ingemar’s name was cleared.

Unfortunately for Ingemar, the police failed to tell him that they had dropped all the charges against him. He had to attend his wife’s funeral where 300 people believed he was responsible for his wife’s death. But after taking a closer look at Agneta’s wounds and doing some genetic testing the police were able to determine who, or rather what was really responsible for her death.
