There are tons of authors out there who write books about fictional killers, with worlds filled with gruesome murders and horrific circumstances. They, however, don’t turn into killers themselves. In 2016, Blake Leibel became the exception to the rule.

Born on May 8, 1991, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Leibel grew up with a luxury most can only dream of. Wealthy parents. Leibel’s father, Lorne, was a prominent real estate agent in Toronto, and his mother, Eleanor, was the heiress to her father, Paul Chitels estate. Eleanor’s father left behind several patents. Leibel and his older brother Cody grew up separately. When their parents divorced, Leibel lived with their mother, and Cody went with their father.

In his twenties, Leibel moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams. His older brother Cody was already there, trying to make a name for himself in the music industry. Leibel tried his hand at many different creative endeavours. He tried to make a name for himself as a comic book writer a graphic novelist, and he even created a short film.

In 2004, Leibel met a woman by the name of Amanda Braun. The pair got married, and soon after, they welcomed their child. Together they lived in Beverly Hills, where their relationship began to take a turn for the worst. Leibel’s spending habits were getting out of control. He…
