국립기상과학원은 1978년 기상연구소로 설립된 후 대한민국의 예보기술 향상 연구, 관측기술 연구, 기후변화 대응기술 연구 및 인공지능기반 기상기술 연구개발 등을 수행하고 있는 기상청 산하의 연구기관입니다.
옵저버는 작년부터 국립기상과학원에 데이터를 납품해오고 있으며 과학원 내 다양한 부서에서 옵저버 데이터를 활용한 연구활동을 진행하고 있습니다.
옵저버는 최근까지 웨더스테이션 7차 배포를 완료하였고 8차 배포를 진행 할 예정입니다. 하반기에는 날씨사진제보앱이 출시 될 계획입니다.
보다 촘촘하게 확장되는 옵저버 관측망 생태계에 많은 관심과 참여 부탁드립니다.

Observer supplies weather data gathered from W.Station to National Institute of Meteorological Science, an affiliate institute under the Korea Meteorological Administration.

The National Institute of Meteorological Science, an affiliate institute of the Korea Meteorological Administration, was established as a meteorological research institute in 1978, conducting researches on improving forecasting technology, observation technology, climate change response technology, and research and development of artificial intelligence-based meteorological technology.
Observer has been supplying data since last year, and various departments in the National Institute of Meteorological Science are conducting research activities using observer data.
Observer has completed the 7th distribution of W.Station until recently and will proceed with the 8th distribution.
The weather photo report app will be released in the second half of the year.
Observer is expanding observation network steadily as well.
