With the launch of the developer contest, which will be funded with the money previously spent for the Draw Airdrop, we are shifting the focus of our distribution from trying to acquire new users to creating apps on the platform that would improve user retention.
While some of the previous distribution methods, such as full moon airdrops and Steem attestation, were initially successful in getting new users to the platform, the retention rates were very low.
We believe that the retention rates could be improved by having more apps on the platform that the users would engage with and extract value from. For this reason, in the near future, we are going to focus on:
- improving developer ecosystem;
- attracting new developers to the platform;
- encouraging the development of new apps;
- building some apps ourselves to demonstrate the possibilities of the platform.
At the same time, we are not going to launch any major distribution campaigns targeted at acquiring new users before a sufficient number of engaging apps is built.
