Long awaited news: the Byteball wallet is now available for download from the Apple App Store
We are really happy to announce that as of today the Byteball wallet can now be downloaded from the Apple App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/byteball/id1147137332?ls=1&mt=8.
This is a major milestone for us.
We had previously submitted the app to Apple on several occasions, but it was not accepted.
The Byteball wallet has been available to Android users for some time now, direct from the Google Play Store. It’s proved popular and highly rated, with a current score of 4.3 out of 5.
However, Apple device users unfortunately couldn’t download the wallet from the Apple App Store. The Byteball wallet has actually been available for iOS for some time, but had to be downloaded from Github and compiled on a Mac. This was far from ideal as most apps are discovered on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
From today, that has thankfully changed.
It’s worth noting that as this is the first time Byteball wallet is listed in the Apple App Store, some features may not work as expected. For example the full backup is still saved within app data (and removed with the app) and push notifications are not working yet.
There is also the possibility you find bugs e.g. bugs may be an issue on some iOS versions and not on others.
Basically what we are saying is that the wallet works, but do not expect all features to function as expected on all versions of iOS! We are not at the stage yet, but the wallet for iOS like the other Byteball wallets will be improved over time.
That said, if you have an iOS device, it would be greatly appreciated if you could download the Byteball wallet from the Apple App Store and leave us a review.
