Not only did he revolutionized music forever and created a whole new genre , but he became known as The King of Rock N Roll. 5. “Can’t Help Falling in Love” One of Elvis’ most favorite love song was first featured in his 1961 film, Blue Hawaii. Presley performed this song in his 1968 NBC Comeback Special as well as a closer number for his 1973 Global telecast, Aloha from Hawaii. Most notably, Presley used this song to close all of his 1970’s sold out Las Vegas concerts. Still to this day, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” is among the favorites used in weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions.

4. “Suspicious Minds” Written by Mark James, this song became Elvis’ first number one hit in seven years. Due to his failing marriage to Priscilla just two years into it, Elvis was able to identified himself with song. This song was regularly used in every live performance.

3. “Hound Dog” Originally sung by rhythm & blues queen Willie Mae, best known as Big Mama Thornton in the early 50’s, it became one of Elvis Presley’s most controversial songs in 1956. It was so controversial that during one of Elvis’ TV appearance on the Steve Allen Show, Elvis was introduce as the “New Elvis Presley” and was obligated to sing to a Hound Dog with a slower uptempo performance. The performance was meant to embarrass Elvis, but nonetheless , it became a rating smash hit at the time.

Back in 1954 this 45 vinyl record became an instant regional hit and set Presley on his path toward stardom. While it caused hysteria amongst teenage girls, it caused an uproar in most parents calling it the “Devils” music … Alas, “Rock N’ Roll was born!!
