A sneak-peak at our Bridge. Figures, fees, and tickers for illustrative purposes only.

We are happy to announce that the closed beta for Occam.fi’s Ethereum to Cardano Bridge is now live! Alongside our partners at Bitcoin.com Exchange and deFIRE, our developers have worked incredibly hard to develop the Ethereum to Cardano Bridge, and we are pleased that it has reached a stage where it’s ready for final testing.

Here, we’re going to re-explore what the Ethereum to Cardano Bridge is, discuss our early Beta testers, and reveal when the Bridge is likely to go live!

What is the Occam.fi Ethereum to Cardano Bridge?

The Occam.fi Ethereum to Cardano bridge, together with exchange partners at Bitcoin.com Exchange and deFIRE (for routing capabilities), creates a bridge between those OCC tokens issued through Ethereum’s ERC-20 standard and their Cardano Native Token counterparts issued on the Cardano blockchain. This functionality will also be extended to other projects launching an IDO through OccamRazer — reiterating our commitment to assisting projects in launching their projects for the Cardano ecosystem.

In the near future, we will also add asset wrapping functionality to the Bridge for some of the native assets of leading blockchain protocols, paving the way for cross-chain liquidity of assets regardless of interoperability between the underlying blockchains.

This will enable our own OCC holder community to swap their ERC-20 OCC for Cardano-based OCC should they wish to do so. While this currently can’t support staking, access to IDOs, and other yield-generating mechanisms; it is nonetheless an important step in the right direction towards honouring our commitment to launching fully on Cardano.

Who will be selected for the closed Beta?

Our closed Beta testers have been hand-picked from a number of highly-engaged community members, and prominent Cardano community members who we feel can give a fair and balanced view of our bridge’s utility and areas for improvement. In the following days, these closed beta participants will be invited to take a first glimpse of the bi-directional Ethereum — Cardano Bridge.

Make no mistake though, this bridge is for you, our community, and indeed every project launching on OccamRazer. As soon as we are confident that all features are working as intended, the Occam.fi Bridge will be released to the public!

When will the Bridge go live?

The closed beta is the final stage of testing, where we release the Occam.fi Bridge to selected members of our community to give us their honest feedback. From there, it may take us a couple of weeks to implement any necessary amendments. Or, if we receive great feedback, it could just be a few days until we release the live version! To set expectations, we would tell our community to expect the Occam.fi Bridge to go live sometime in mid-June 2021!
