Occam the Monk has united with several other mighty aspects of his soul, and together they have begun their journey towards becoming the strongest innovation-accelerating DAO in the space; one that operates cross-chain and incorporates strong, fair governance systems for its members.
The Occam DAO is proud to announce the launch of the Grand Aspects Tournament, a unique campaign designed to engage our community and promote the DAO’s growth through an immersive story revolving around Occam and its NFTs. This tournament will allow community members who join one of the four Temples to represent their guild in various categories of competitions such as Content, Reach, and Diplomacy.
To bootstrap the process of guild creation, and provide a base for the Grand Aspect Tournament, an all-star group of Occam ambassadors and partners have agreed to open four new Temples (Guilds). You can join these guilds, or any of the existing ones to participate by joining the Occam DAO Discord and following the instructions in the governance-faq channel.
The Four Temples
Each of the new temples represents a guild with its own unique goals, style, and spiritual animal. The Temples are the following:
Temple of the Serpent’s Light (TSL)
Collaborating on how to maximize the Occam DAO’s platform for IDO’s, DeFi, ISPOs and Incubation. We aim to be the vanguard of ideas, OIPs and positive change in order to achieve leadership in the Web3 space.
Creativity, boldness, honest critique and ingenuity will help the TSL Guild lead Occam to the next level. For those with vision and ambition, the Temple of the Serpent’s Light Guild is here for you. Join us in our quest!

Temple of Determination
Welcome to the Temple of Determination. We invite those who share our drive and passion to join us in building a stronger ecosystem through collaboration with other projects. By joining our Guild, you will gain access to a supportive network of like-minded individuals. As Winston Churchill once said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” Let’s succeed together through determination.

Guild Competitions
At the core of the Grand Aspects Tournament will be incentivized guild competitions. Community members will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities in various categories and represent their respective Temples. These competitions will not only foster camaraderie among community members but will also encourage friendly rivalries between Temples, further driving engagement and growth for the Occam DAO.
These competitions will provide the winning guilds and their membership with a variety of rewards.
Some examples of competition categories are:

- Relevant project introductions
Now, let’s move on to the very first competition of the Grand Aspect Tournament!
The First Tournament Competition
Our first Competition will revolve around each guild member spreading the word about the Occam DAO on Twitter, using the hashtag #OccamtheMonk.
This competition will be active from May 5th, 2023.
Task:
- Choose the Guild you would like to join.
- Post original content on Twitter or Occam’s Telegram channels directing people to the Occam DAO Discord server, and to engage with its governance and the Grand Aspect Tournament. Make sure to use the hashtag #OccamtheMonk in your posts.
- Share the link with proof of your posts inside your Guild and encourage your fellow members to like and share.
Criteria:
The Guild with the greatest real engagement/referred users with their tweets/posts (as judged by the incubation/VCDAO members) will receive this competition’s rewards distributed between the guild leader and their membership.
The Tournament
The Grand Aspects Tournament is an innovative and immersive campaign designed to drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement for the Occam DAO’s Guilds, and by extension its governance system.
By joining one of the four Temples and participating in the guild competitions, community members will have a chance to contribute to the DAO’s growth and success while enjoying a unique and unforgettable experience with their fellow guild members.
