Onto The Edge
Why I’m starting the Coast Edge podcast and what the hell it is.
What is it?
For too long I have sat at the sidelines, listened to all this incredible music and then hidden it away amongst my 9,214 SoundCloud favourites and 113 Spotify playlists (yes really…)
So I’ve started the Ocean Edge podcast. A weekly 20–30 minute show where I highlight the music I’m listening to, the music my friends are listening to, and the music the community is listening to.
The podcast will be dedicated to the chill, future, wave and trap genres. The music that feels right for an early sunrise commute, or a late-night 1am headphones-on listening session.
I am not using my real voice. Firstly because it’s funny and cool, and secondly because in a world where vocals are so heavily processed, and musicians do not reveal their true identity, I wonder if it really matters?
I am going to continue to work on the format, style, music and ideas in a completely open way, so expect this to not be the perfect podcast that my perfectionist mindstate heavily craves. In the future I am looking to interview other people in the music scene, whether it be YouTube promoters, record labels or producers themselves. But this will come soon enough!
Why ‘Ocean Edge’
I’ve always been heavily influenced by words of nature and how they inspire the soundscapes of music.
The music fits.
Having lived and grown up in the southern coastal town for the last 13 years, the ocean has continued to inspire me, and well… we are on the edge.

I’m heavily inspired by both soundscapes and melodies, so this will not be a podcast limited by its musical scope.
