When I was training for the USA Memory Championship, before bed, I would place objects around my apartment that didn’t belong where I put them.

In the morning, I would trip over them!

Why is this piece of paper on the floor?, I thought, as I stumbled half-asleep into the bathroom.

Or, I would see a book lying on the counter (instead of the bookshelf), and wonder why I left it there. Then you remember. It’s a nice combo of CD4/7! (Core Drive 4: Ownership & Possession; Core Drive 7: Unpredictability & Curiosity)

You can try this yourself. Instead of a digital task list, put an object somewhere in your living space — where you will see it — to remind you of something important. Have fun with it and believe me, you’ll laugh when you discover how easy it is. It’s okay to be playful from time to time.

Also, with any luck, Yu-kai will soon be interviewing new guests on OP. (Must be an Octalysis Prime member to view the Slack group.)
