Inside the By Calliste Event in Paris
Earlier this month, our wonderful team in Paris had the chance to enter the incredible world of By Calliste. You may have already admired the amazing tutorials on their YouTube channel, tried items from their blog, or discovered useful products thanks to the tips and tricks of their makeup artists. But meeting the amazing team of beauty gurus behind By Calliste was a different kind of special. We caught up with the French team so they could share all the details with us, and we could relive the wonderful times Octoly France spent with the By Calliste team in their studio located in the heart of Paris …
By Calliste was started by two women, Armelle and Karine, who are both passionate about the world of beauty. They came together and realized that something was missing in the beauty world. Armelle and Karine realized that makeup was not accessible for everyone, and it was often hard for the average woman to recreate the beauty looks she desires at home.
Armelle and Karine decided to partner with the agency Calliste, a company that employs some of the greatest makeup artists and hairdressers in France. They hoped that by using this team of experts, they could fill the void missing from the YouTube world.
So what do they do? They create weekly videos that invite Calliste makeup artists and hairdressers to give advice and share his or her beauty and professional expertise. Not only are the tips fresh and unique, but they are also easy to reproduce. Even a seasoned makeup pro could learn something from this incredible team of experts.
Using their love and passion for beauty, By Calliste was born and became one of the top beauty sites in France. When we visited the studio, we also saw that the team’s foundation is built on friendship, shared values, kind words, laughter, and innovative ideas.
Now that you know a bit about this amazing company, we want to share what happened at the event. When we arrived at the By Calliste studio, we were struck by how cozy it was! We felt like we were at a friend’s apartment, getting ready to settle down comfortably for hot chocolate and Netflix. We found that we completely ignored the lights and cameras that were filming the entire event because the atmosphere was warm, bright and relaxing.
Between light snacks and cups of fresh juice, we discussed, shared, and admired everything that was happening. The team was so excited to meet Gregoris Pyrpylis, a makeup artist and talented brand ambassador for Bioderma and Fabrice Laroche.
French Octoly creators Coco Lili , The Doll Beauty , Manue Makeup , Romy , Hippos and Smiles ,LoryLyn , Heloni Beauty , Because Cats , Sleeping Beauty and ClaireShadowere were in attendance to vlog and learn at the by Calliste studio. Every girl was able to learn something new. From learning more about camera work, to learning about new software, makeup, and light … It was impossible not to learn something amazing.
Between learning sessions, French creators discovered new products, enjoyed snacks, caught up with YouTube friends, and participated in a photo shoot.
