Octoly Tour in Chicago, Illinois
Did you see our latest stop on the Octoly Tour of the U.S.? We headed to Chicago, Illinois to finally meet some of our #OctolyFamily in the Midwest! We had an afternoon full of amazing photo ops (the skyline view from the rooftop was a bonus), tips on photography and how to get noticed by brands, and also enough hair tutorials to ensure you can try out a new style every day of the week!
First on the agenda, we had fellow #OctolyFamily member Julia Latkins, a professional photographer from the Chicago area, give us all the low down on her best mobile photography tips. So, basically, we’re all experts on how to “get the shot” with just our iPhones!
Next, we had a great workshop with one of our very own community managers, Monica, about how to get noticed by brands. Ever wondered what you needed to do on your page in order for brands to absolutely fall in love with your content? Monica dished out some great advice, some of it from the brands themselves!
And last but most certainly not least, Blowpro gave us a great demonstration on how to curl your hair with a wand, achieve a perfect blowout, and add volume to any hair type! Who knew there were so many ways to style your hair!
After one big group selfie, the #OctolyFamily got a chance to mingle with each other as well as with reps from some of our fave brands like Clarins, Real Techniques, and Blowpro! Who doesn’t love some one-on-one time with brands?
