Professional Bull Riders, Inc. is an international professional bull riding organization based in Pueblo, CO, USA. The organization was founded in 1992 by 21 professional bull riders, each contributing $1000 to start the venture. By 2008, the company had held a bull riding competition with a $11 million cash prize expanded to many countries across the world.

In addition to the US, PBR membership spans to Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. PBR’s events grew in popularity, when they were launched on CBS and CBS Sports Network in the beginning of 2013. Such a vast reach urged the PBR team to actively explore opportunities to expand their tour to countries like China and Argentina.

PBR created and hosted PBR World Cup with participants from 5 different countries. 25 professionals were ready to tame bulls for the title of the best bull rider in the world. More than 100 events are staged by the professional bull riders’ association every year in the United States alone, and the increasing buzz surrounding bull riding has only fueled its rise as a cultural phenomenon. Spectators witness some of these determined and tenacious riders as they try to hold on to their saddles for the longest moments of their lives — over and over again. This is one of the reasons the live audience numbers grew since the early 90s, and the viewership numbers for live-broadcasted events is continuously climbing up.

PBR viewership has grown to over 100 million. The company is in sync with times, and is taking a step into the over-the-top (OTT) industry early to reach even more people. OTT broadcasting gives PBR the ability to reach even more viewers by delivering content to devices that are Internet-connected. More devices, more viewers, more new fans, more entertainment.

The Odd Networks’ team helped the Professional Bull Riders organization make a smart transition into the OTT industry by developing their own, new suite of OTT video apps. We not only updated their iOS and Android supported devices, we also added live-event streaming players and capabilities to their extensive VOD library.

The new PBR app also features dynamic updates (updating in the real-time during live events) so you can enjoy the content, and stay up-to-date with the latest news and statistics. Besides live updates on standings, you have access to latest information about schedules and events.

The new PBR app is dynamic and sharp. It features live stream events on the main page, and more VOD content as you navigate further throughout the app. The app is easy to navigate and extremely user-friendly in order to get users to all the awesome full of “eight-second free-fall” bull-riding content.

And the best part — all of the content is free for users to access. Simply navigate to the App Store or Google Play store and search for “PBR LIVE” and download. Instantly get access to the PBR catalogue of awesome clips, and previously aired episodes. Make sure to tune in to their next live weekend event, and start watching some of the most intense bull-riding action, all in real-time.
