Sophie’s art spans a number of preconceived projects involving all manner of unwitting participants.
Her focus appears to be on storytelling above all else. The images she presents to viewers are often grouped together along with paragraphs of text elucidating the setting of the imagery, etc.
She sets fascinating rules for each of her projects, which she then follows and ultimately displays through her art.
Calle’s art was predominantly photographic and largely controversial — with some of her more ambitious projects often invading the privacy of other people’s lives.
