Being in charge of you — Leading self

I joined the Leading Self workshop by Stanly Lau. We learned and practiced The Satir Process, this process will help you know better about yourself and improve your relationship with others. Every participant got a book as a gift and also me. ( Buying the book is just one of the ways to support Virginia Satir Global Network, which Stanly chose) The book is so admirable and made me deep down into the core of therapy. I want to share one of the most impressive poems that I heard in the workshop and also written in the book.

Being in charge of you

In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me.

โลกทั้งใบนี้ ไม่มีใครเลยที่เหมือนกับฉัน

Everything that comes out of me is authentically mine because I alone chose it

ทุกอย่างที่ออกมาจากฉันคือฉันโดยแท้เพราะฉันคนเดียวเป็นผู้เลือกมัน

I own everything about me

— my body, my feelings, my mouth, my voice,

all my actions, whether they be to others or to myself.

ฉันเป็นเจ้าของทุกสิ่งของฉัน

— ร่างกายของฉัน ความรู้สึกของฉัน ปากของฉัน น้ำเสียงของฉัน

I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears.

I own all of my triumphs and successes, all of my failures and mistakes.

I can become intimately acquainted with me.

by so doing, I can love me and be friendly with me in all my parts.

I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me and other aspects I do not know.

but as long as I am friendly and loving to myself, I can encourage me

and hopefully look for solutions to the puzzles

and for ways to find out more about me.

however I look and sound whatever I say and do, and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time is authentically me.

Later, If some parts of how I looked, sounded, thought and felt turned out To be unfitting, I can discard that which is unfitting and keep the rest and invent something new for that which is I discard.

I can see, hear, feel, think, say and do.

I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be productive, and to make sense and order out of the world of people and things outside of me.

I very appreciate that Chokchai Phatharamalai invited me to join the Leading Self workshop.

I appreciate that i love myself, accept my all failures, and invent solutions to improve to be a better me.
