Detailed Guide to Oddz Incentivised Testnet on Polygon

After the successful completion of Oddz Incentivised Testnet on Binance Smart Chain and rewarding participants with rewards up to $30,000, we are thrilled to announce the Incentivised Testnet program on Polygon Network with up to $30,000 in ODDZ and $10,000 in MATIC tokens! The Incentivised Testnet Program will start on August 16, 2021, and ends on September 3, 2021.

The Incentivised Testnet on Binance Smart Chain helped users get a better understanding of Oddz and also gave them an opportunity to suggest new features for the product. Our aim for the current testnet is to understand how users adapt to this new blockchain network and for them to try the interface. Oddz is an on-chain derivatives trading platform and this testnet invites participants for the public test of our options trading platform.

Snapshots:

To join the testnet program, all participants must Install MetaMask in their browser.

Install MetaMask in Chrome Browser

Step 1: Go to https://metamask.io/ and click on the Download button.

Step 2: Click on the Download for Windows if you are on Windows, else choose iOS or Android, depending on the Operating System of your device.

Step 3: You will be redirected to Chrome Web Store and you will be asked to add the MetaMask extension to your browser. Do that to ensure you have a seamless DeFi experience.

Step 4: Once you have added MetaMask to your browser, create a new account and add a wallet. You will be directed to another page where you will be given the seed phrases for your wallet. Keep them in a safe and secured place as these phrases will be needed in case you lose access to your system or you get logged out of the wallet for some reason.

Also, never share your wallet password, private key and also your seed phrases with anyone.

Congratulations! You have now added MetaMask wallet to your browser.

Hop on to https://polygon-testnet.oddz.fi/ to participate in the Incentivised Testnet Program.

Participating in Oddz Incentivised Testnet

The Incentivised Testnet Program on Polygon Network will consist of three major events — the Leaderboard Challenge, the Bug Bounty Program and the Airdrop! A total prize money of $30,000 in ODDZ tokens and $10,000 in MATIC tokens has been allocated to each one of them.

To participate in the Oddz Incentivised Testnet Program, fill in your details in this form — https://forms.pabbly.com/form/share/XYP2-463651.

In this form, we ask you to submit your Polygon Network wallet address which is the same as your Testnet wallet address. We will also collect your contact information, such as email address, Telegram and Twitter handle and other details which are needed to connect with you in case you win rewards during the entire testnet program.

Once you enter your details, your Testnet wallet will be credited with 2000 test USDC, 100 ODDZ and 0.2 MATIC tokens. The user has to request this asset. The test tokens can be requested once every 7 days. Traders claiming faucets every week will be given an additional 500 USDC from their previous claims to continue exploring the different features on Oddz. This will also increase their chances of improving their rank on the leaderboard!

Users will receive the test tokens and will be allowed to participate in the testnet program only if they fill the participation form. In case you receive more faucet tokens for the week, make sure you report this to the team on our Telegram Chat to avoid getting blocklisted from the Program.

Any user or participant who tries to spread wrong information to disrupt the proceedings of the Incentivised Testnet will be considered a ‘bad actor’. Also, if a user manages to get test tokens using multiple accounts and then transfers them to their single account to trade options contracts or add liquidity to the pool will be considered as a ‘bad actor’. We have devised different ways to catch these ‘bad actors’. Once disqualified, all wallets and information submitted by the disqualified participant will be added to the blocklist and no further test tokens will be credited in any of the wallets.

We will now see how users can trade options contracts on Oddz Incentivised Testnet on Polygon Network.

If you are a trader, click on Trader to start exploring the trading platform on Oddz testnet.

Explore Oddz Testnet as a Trader

Step 1: When you click on the testnet link, you will be taken to the trading platform where you will have to connect your wallet. The option to connect the wallet is on the top right corner of the screen. Make sure you select your testnet wallet and not any other wallet from your MetaMask.

Step 2: As a trader, you can add tokens to the liquidity pool, buy options contracts using your own strategies on Customised Options or using tried and tested strategies using Easy Options.

Before moving further, let us see how you can get the test tokens.

Getting Test Tokens

Step 1: Click on the testnet link to hop on to the Incentivised Testnet Program.

Step 2: You will be prompted with a message to change the network if you are on any different network like Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain.

Step 3: Click on connect wallet and select MetaMask. You will then be asked to sign in using one of your Accounts.

Step 4: Once connected, click on any one of the buttons (for example: Easy Options) to add Polygon Testnet to your wallet. We click on “Peggy Tokens”.

Step 5: You will be asked to add Matic Testnet to your MetaMask wallet. Click “Approve” and you are done!

Step 6: Now, click on Peggy tokens and enter your Matic Testnet wallet address that was used while applying for the testnet program. You will receive 2000 test USDC, 100 ODDZ and 0.2 MATIC tokens in your wallet. The traders claiming faucets every week will be given an additional 500 USDC from their previous claims to continue exploring the different features on Oddz.

Please note that only eligible candidates will receive faucet tokens. Fill the testnet participation form to be eligible for receiving the faucet tokens. Faucet tokens can be claimed every 7 days till the end of the testnet. In case you have exhausted all your funds, you will have to wait till the end of the 7th day to get more tokens.

Make sure you do not transfer your testnet tokens to another wallet or collude with someone else. We have devised methods to catch ‘bad actors’ who will be penalised if caught doing so. All addresses involved will be added to the blocklist and you will be disqualified from the competition.

Please report to the Oddz team in case you find something ODD!

How to earn rewards on Oddz Testnet?

A total of $30,000 worth of ODDZ and $10,000 worth MATIC tokens have been kept aside for the Oddz Testnet program on Polygon Network.

The rewards will be distributed among participants as rewards to top 10 traders on the leaderboard, airdrop to top 200 traders (from rank 11 to 210) in the Leaderboard Challenge and also to those developers and DeFi enthusiasts who provide useful feedback and validated recommendations in the Bug Bounty program.
