# 97 Stanley Hotel — Dumb & Dumber
This was not just a stop, but a pilgrimage. Several scenes from Dumb and Dumber were filmed here. This is also a nice place. A Manhattan is $18. No one at this bar wants to admit their favorite movie of all time is Dumb and Dumber. Except for me, I am not afraid. I started a debate about where the scenes were shot. I had spent some time lining everything up with screenshots from the movie so I was pretty certain. Soon almost everyone was into this. Then they called the manager in, who then called in a lady who had been there a long time. When she got into the building you could hear her explaining the scenes already. Then she turned the corner into the bar pointed and said, “he is sitting exactly where Jim Carrey sat.” He was me. It was amazing.
