The OEL Foundation is delighted to announce that Jonas Sevel Karlberg, Founder and CEO of AmaZix, and Mac McGary, President of Sweetbridge, are now members of the Foundation’s board of advisors.

Following a strong launch, the Foundation sought the expertise of Jonas and Mac to help bring community involvement from different sectors and drive strategic development of the ecosystem. Jonas Sevel Karlberg is one of the co-founders of the Nordic Blockchain Association as well as AmaZix, the world’s leading community management and engagement firm. His work in the industry was instrumental in major successful token sales like Bancor, HDAC (by Hyundai), BANKEX, Shape Capital, and many more.

Joining him as a new addition to the board of advisors is Mac McGary. McGary is bringing with him 30 years of experience in sales and operational leadership in the enterprise software industry, targeting the largest global companies and optimizing supply networks. Mac believes that blockchain will radically improve supply chains and commerce — a belief that the OEL Foundation and its community shares. As President of Sweetbridge, an open-source economy project unlocking the value trapped in assets, trade finance, and planning talent, Mac is aligning innovative blockchain-based protocols to help companies, countries and individuals to find a better way to trade and innovate.

With two strong new advisors joining the OEL Foundation, the board of directors and advisory committee are positive that the vision of a community-led platform for logistics applications in the supply chain is on the path to success. Commenting on his appointment, Jonas said, “With supply chain currently one of the top industries utilising blockchain and developing real use-cases, I expect the technology to become an integral part of not only logistics but the very concept of moving goods across different parties, regions, and individuals.”

Adding to this, Mac said: “In the future, supply chains will compete as decentralized global ecosystems, with transparency as the deciding factor for success. I am eager to collaborate with logistics industry leaders and technologists in the OELF to bring successful proofs and pilots forward into a new economic reality for enterprises and the people working with them.”

Foundation board member Max Ward warmly welcomed the new advisors, saying “Bringing Jonas and Mac on to our board of advisors highlights the Foundation’s potential to become the go-to platform for logistics industry players exploring the blockchain. It is our goal to lead the blockchain-powered logistics movement and a key contributor to that is the Foundation’s ability to partner with an amazing caliber of people and organisations. Today’s announcement signals our desire to build the most sophisticated team of industry experts to bring our vision to fruition.”

The OEL Foundation is having a token sale. If you’d like to learn more about the project, you can read the whitepaper, join the community discussion on Telegram, and subscribe for updates.
