What Is a Netizen?

Prevalent in the 21st century, a “netizen” is defined simply as someone who uses the Internet, otherwise interpreted as a so-called “citizen of the Internet.”

Often, the term entails that the individual is apt in his or her activities online or at least that they are frequent.

A specific example of netizens, for instance, are well-voiced social media users. Certainly, social media influencers could be classified as “netizens.”
