A little boy vanishes without a trace in Kentucky. His vanishing remains cold nearly four decades later.
Born on November 17, 1975, he resided in Kentucky until the day of his vanishing. Physically, he had brown hair, blue eyes, stood at 4'0" and last weighed 60 lbs. He has a surgical scar on the left side of his face between his nose and upper lip. His teeth have gaps between them.
Moreover, he was born with a cleft palate and, as a result, has a speech impediment. He cannot enunciate certain words. At the time he vanished, he was 6-years-old.
On February 13, 1982, Kelly’s school canceled its classes due to a massive snowstorm. Since he had no classes, Kelly stayed home with his mother, Judy Moore, in their residence on Larks Lane in Pine Tree Hollow in Knotts County, Kentucky, approximately five miles outside the town of Hindman.
At approximately 11 a.m., Kelly went outside to play in the family yard, his mother telling him not to leave the yard. The last time she checked on him was approximately at 4 p.m.
By this point, Moore left to go to a neighbor’s home to answer a call as she did not own one herself. Once she returned, her son was no longer in the yard, when she did not see him, she assumed he had gone to a friend’s to watch television.
