Floridian hotel waitress off from work drives away from her apartment, never to be seen again.

On August 2, 1975, Teresa Lyn Fittin was working as a waitress at a Hilton Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At some point, she told her mother she was going to be off from work for the next few days. She also asked her mother to wash her uniform and polish her shoes for her before she came to pick them up later.

On that day, Fittin left her Fort Lauderdale apartment in her 1966 Nash Rambler Classic, this marking the last sighting of her.

When her disappearance was noticed shortly afterward, her boyfriend at the time was the first to report her as missing. Unfortunately, since this was the 1970s, and Fittin was 18-years-old, that the police said there was nothing to investigate. All her belongings were left behind at her apartment, including $300 left on her dresser. Her bank account was also left untouched since then.

For the first two months into Fittin’s disappearance, family members paid the rent on Fittin’s apartment in hopes of her or someone else with answers paying a visit.
