Paige Fuhrman, Pastry Chef for Patisserie 46/Rose Street Patisserie: While growing up in the small town of Hanover, Pennsylvania, I found myself becoming more and more fond of baking. In high school, I quickly learned how to create simple desserts at home. The time I had spent in the kitchen increased, but it was not until one of my teachers gave me the push to realize that I could turn my passion into a career. I started my education under the respected eye of Chef Susan Notter, CEPC. My career in the industry officially began at The Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida. This is where I built a solid foundation that supported a variety of techniques and skills required for my field. After four years of working for the company, I took the opportunity here in Minneapolis to work under Chef John Kraus to expand my knowledge and grow in world of French Pastry. Here, I have run the cake and tarts team for almost two years while also taking on a lot of growth and expansion. With the company I have been gratefully given the opportunity to take courses and travel to places like Paris. I can only look forward to what the future holds.
