åyr with Martha Rosler in Holland Festival at Stedelijk, Amsterdam

For this year’s Holland Festival, an annual international performing arts event in the Netherlands since 1947, Stedelijk co-sponsored an installation by the London architects’ collective åyr at Museumplein. To accompany åyr’s installation, I’d Rather Be Outside, the collective invited Martha Rosler to exhibit her work Housing Is a Human Right, an animated billboard critiquing the alarming increase in homelessness in the United States, originally installed in Times Square by the artist in 1989.
