Met Museum Makes 375,000 Images Free

Joshua Barone writes in the New York Times that The Met has released its image holdings of public domain works under the Creative Commons Zero license. I applaud this and any move that influences norms away from restricting the free flow of images, which are a form of knowledge. You can use these photographs of Japanese sword guards owned by The Met any way you’d like, without any annoying credit line.
