Fiber Mountain: Our eMerge Americas Recap

eMerge Americas proved again that it is not just an event — it’s an emerging ecosystem that is transforming Miami into a hot tech hub of the Americas. It is a unique event, with leading startups and government executives focused on innovative digital solutions transforming industries.

This was Fiber Mountain’s 2nd year exhibiting and speaking at eMerge. In 2018, our CEO did a “Texpert” session and this year, we presented a Texpert session on Layer 1 Automation, demonstrating our market leading Sensus patch panel in action. Our CTO took part in a main stage panel with a Cyxtera executive, called, “The ABCs of Emerging Data Centers, Services, Security and the Edge.” We at Fiber Mountain would like to thank everyone from eMerge Americas and Nexxtshow for their hospitality and a very fine event.

Fiber Mountain’s booth, in the pictures below, had two sections — one was the Sensus Showcase consisting of 3 racks with Sensus and the other was the BIGOPX 800 preview running with a looped video. Cyxtera’s signage, “Point. Click. Colo” aligns with the “BIGOPX” next to it in the picture but in our respective booths. Our markets converge and serve each other.

The large dual screen monitors surrounding the Launchpad stage ran a “sponsor” loop, which included a Fiber Mountain video well done by our team and it was exciting to see:

It’s always great to talk with customers and partners which we were able to do over the two-plus days. With many blinking lights in our booth inside our demonstration racks, people always stop by to ask about them. Several groups of future young engineers from Miami-based colleges and universities stopped by to learn about new opportunities for themselves as they soak up the new technologies being featured at eMerge. From robotics to services to data centers, the broad appeal of this event continues to grow.
