It’s always awesome to see brothers representing SigEp across the world, but these brothers took it to a whole new level!

Brothers Nicolas Emmer, Chris Nguyen and Connor Rutledge, San Diego State ’17, have all been studying abroad across Europe this semester. Emmer was studying abroad in Oslo, Norway; Nguyen in Barcelona; and Rutledge in Prague.

All three are avid hikers and decided to meet up for one of their final trips in Europe. The brothers decided to hit three of the biggest and most beautiful hikes in Norway: Trolltunga (where the picture was taken), Preikestolen, and Kjeragbolten.

Using rental cars, trains, buses and ferries the brothers managed to hit all three of these hikes over a period of 5 days, covering a total hiking distance of almost 35 miles, a total elevation gain of 6,100 feet, and a total travel distance of about 800 miles. These brothers embodied sound mind, sound body and brotherly love from across the world!
