Meet brother Erik Olson, Utah State ’18, a junior mechanical engineering majoring emphasizing in aerospace. And, most importantly, a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, which seeks to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever..

SigEp is a proudly named Big Brothers Big Sisters as our service-learning partner at the 2013 Conclave. Since then, hundreds of brothers like Erik have answered the call to mentor a young child.

Brothers such as Erik are creating positive change in the communities and impacting the lives of those around them. Erik commented on this impact saying,

Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters has given me the awareness of how much influence you can have with your time. Spending two days a month with my little makes a world of difference to him and is not a large commitment for me. I’ve gained a new appreciation for children and their unique views on the world around them in addition to the mentors in my own life who have had a great impact on me.
