With events like Offline Camp, you can spend months and months of your time preparing before the big day(s). You do your research and plan against many of the possible options available to you in order to deliver an experience that is as impactful as it can be. Those opportunities you find are truly not possible unless we either set higher attendee ticket prices or we find generous and inspiring companies and individuals to support us. Spoiler: we found them.

A discussion in at Offline Camp on schema migration in a decentralized world.

MongoDB has been incredibly generous in their support of Offline Camp Oregon 2019, and they even went above and beyond financial support: they shipped us all hammocks! As a company, MongoDB has fully embraced the philosophy and impact of Offline First. With their acquisition of Realm, they now offer an offline-first mobile database in addition to a database as a service called Atlas, and a Backend as a Service called Stitch.

There is so much more to MongoDB than most people realize. For instance, Atlas is packed with valuable features such a Data Lake, helping you realize the value of your data faster, and Full-Text Search, which gives you and your users the flexibility to filter, rank, and sort through your database to quickly surface the most relevant information. We encourage you to take a deeper look at their platform and see how their products and services may serve your Offline First use case.

If you’re interested in learning more about the work that MongoDB is doing, to learn and get answers from other users, or even share the work you’re doing: the best place to start is by joining their Slack group.

Please join us in thanking MongoDB for their support!
