We’re hiring a Developer at Offset!

Offset is a new digital studio set up by MOO. We’re a small, autonomous, team of six, run like a startup but with the big engine of MOO behind us. Our brief is to invent, prototype and launch digital products that share the same belief as MOO: great design matters.

We’re now looking for an enthusiastic developer to join us. We’re currently working on an iOS app, which initially you’ll be helping us build, launch and scale. In the future, it’s likely we’ll be working on other products and platforms, so you’ll need to be flexible, and keen to learn new things.

At Offset, every member of our team has shared ownership and responsibility for the whole product — not just the bit they’re working on. Your opinions on user experience count just as much as your preference of tabs versus spaces. (Spaces, obvs.)

We’re looking for someone who:

  • has experience shipping products in teams, and is comfortable writing production quality code and working in an agile environment
  • has at least two years production experience with two or more of: Ruby, Python, Objective-C, Javascript. If you’ve been playing around with Swift, Rust, Go, etc. all the better!
  • has experience writing both server side and client side code, for web or native apps
  • enjoys working closely with designers, iterating through sketches, mockups, and code, until it’s just right
  • knows how to pick the right tool for the job, and isn’t afraid of new platforms and technologies, where appropriate.

In return, we’ll offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including matched pension contributions, BUPA healthcare, season ticket loan, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, and more. This position is based in our Shoreditch studio.

What’s Next?

Does this sound like you? We’d love to hear from you! (Even if you feel you don’t tick all these boxes, we’d love to hear from you anyway — we value enthusiasm over experience.)

To apply, fill out this short Google Form we’ve put together. Applications close on 4th September.

Not for you? We’d really appreciate it if you helped us spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, Medium, etc. Thanks for reading this far.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
